Bernard & Shauna Whitlow

Overseer Bernard Whitlow Jr. and Pastor Shauna Whitlow, began their ministry journey together on August 16, 1998, serving faithfully under Apostle C.H. Ricks until January 2000. In April 2001, they birthed the Rivers of Living Water Outreach Center. This center became a nurturing ground for young souls for seven years, until its closing in 2008 as many young adults moved on to marriage, college, and new opportunities.

In 2008, they returned to assist Apostle Rick and Pastor Persina Atkinson, and by 2016, they were licensed again by Dr. Reginald C. Woodhouse at First Baptist Jefferson Park. In 2023 they began supporting various ministries and actively participating in Zoom meetings with Perception Church with Pastor Dominick and Lady Fannie Carver from Kansas City, Missouri.

 

In June 2026 Pastor Pierre Whitlow asked Overseer Bernard and Pastor Shauna Whitlow to join the Leadership Team of Pillars of the Word Ministries as the Executive Pastors. Pillars of the Word has always been home for them since 1996 and we are extremely glad to have them home.
